DRIVER HISTORY

Ed first got into monster trucks at 35 years old. He was a fan for 14 years and would go to all the Monster Jam shows dreaming that one day, he would be the one in the driver seat. That day came when Ed decided to build his own show truck. Once he got behind the wheel of the monster truck, there was no turning back. He felt the horsepower, speed, and excitement, and was hooked ever since. When he isn’t out crushing cars, he fixes cars for a living at his own auto shop, Ed's Auto Repair.

Eckert had to take some time off from monster trucks when he was in a motorcycle accident that left him with a broken right arm and his left leg. Luckily, he could rely on his backup driver, Ryan Fales. Together this duo is unstoppable.

Ed’s career highlight was racing at the Minneapolis Metrodome some time back. He got 1st place in freestyle and 4th place overall. During that show he catwalked on his tailgate for 50 yards, which is impressive considering how heavy a monster truck is. He also takes great pride in being one of the first monster truck drivers to ever bring their truck over to Israel.

Ed’s monster truck career is definitely taking off and he has proven his talent at the 2008 Monster Jam® World Finals when he was awarded the Rising Star award. Ed definitely is going to be the one to watch in the future.
