DRIVER HISTORY
|
David started being involved in racing at the age of 18. He had been long time friends of Mike Vaters and Kirk Daphney who got him interested in it. He started with street trucks at the Thunder Nationals and then in 1990 he bought a leaf spring truck. He is currently working in construction/excavating. His all time goal is to get to finals, and believes that someday he it will actually happen. There is no one particular highlight that stands out in his career but some of them include the times he has beaten Gravedigger. There is no single stop that he likes better than the others, as long as he gets to race he is satisfied. Although he considers beating Gravedigger as one of his highlights, there are no single one that he enjoys racing against more than the others. Plain and simple, David is a competitor and he couldn't ask for nothing more than to compete with somebody despite who they are, he thinks they are all great. A 'no quit' mentaility is extremely important to David; he feels that nothing can hold him back; If that means he has to tear his truck apart, then that’s what he will do. The advice he would give to kids out there would be to stay in school and stay off drugs and if you really want to do this, just make sure you have a lot of money.
