DRIVER HISTORY
|

John Seasock, a 15-year veteran of pro monster truck competition, drove Traxxas’ entry in the United States Hot Rod Association: the all-new T-Maxx. Traxxas, the leader in radio controlled monster truck sales, broke new ground by bursting into the earth-shaking world of monster truck racing in 2005. Seasock first became interested in the sport after seeing Bigfoot® and meeting Bob Chandler at the Philadelphia Spectrum. Within several years, John went from watching in the stands, to learning how to build his own truck, to competing in the Monster Truck Racing Association and United States Hot Rod Association. He has been a full-time, hardcore monster truck competitor since 1990. John has seen and done it all during his many years of professional monster truck racing. As a regular on Speed Channel’s Monster Jam, he has competed in every state except Alaska and Hawaii. Most recently, John drove the Batman truck in the 2007 Monster Jam World Finals, and shocked Monster Jam fans everywhere by taking the title. There is no doubt that John Seasock is emerging as one of the most well known, respected, and competive monster truck drivers.
Seasock received the USHRA’ “Sportsman of the Year” award in 2001.Seasock also received the MTRA’s “Goodwill Ambassador” award in 1996, its “Most Improved Team” award in 1999 and its “Safety Award” in 2000. John has also served as the Director of the Monster Truck Racing Association and its Vice President for the last six years. John was featured on the Learning Channel’s “Junkyard Wars” in 2001. As the team expert, he led the Law Dawgs as they built a monster truck in 10 hours. John and the Law Dawgs defeated the Ghost Mountain Riders to win the competition and claim the Junkyard Wars title. Seasock is dedicated to using his notoriety to serve people. He is active with for D.A.R.E., St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital and the Make-A-Wish Foundation. John also delivers speeches and visits hospitals, schools and vocational-tech schools regularly at home and on the road.
John, who graduated from Penn State University with degrees in electronics and computer science, enjoys R/C trucks and planes, scuba diving, motorcycle stunt riding, video games and spending time with his wife and two sons.
