Candice Jolly started racing go-karts when she was 8 years old and from then on, she was hooked! Now, she has been racing in some sort of motor sporting event for over 20 years. While racing go-karts, she won several national championships and by age 15, she was personally invited by Lynn St. James to her driving school in Indiana. By the age of 16, Candice was the youngest female in Florida to hold a SCCA license and quickly made a name for herself. She began racing Formula Vee and then moved into a Sports 2000 car, and finally into a Formula Continental Car. By the time she turned 18, Candice was a seasoned veteran in motorsports and even raced her mom's Swamp Buggy on TV for the first time which landed her a spot to drive for a local sponsor in a Limited Late Model and a Rail Drag Car.
By late 2004, early 2005, Candice decided to take nine months off from racing to have her son, Chase. Chase quickly followed in the family's footsteps and has begun racing go-karts at their family-owned race track, West Coast Karting, in Naples, FL.
In 2006, Candice went to her 1st Monster Jam® event, and was impressed with the size and horsepower the trucks produce! Her sister Courtney and her started talking to a few of the bosses from Feld Motor Sports about driving a truck. "They flew both of us up at different times to the Grave Digger® Shop in Kill Devil Hills, N.C. for auditions," said Candice. "I can honestly say that I’ve been schooled by one of the best monster truck drivers ever, Paul Cohen, who was my instructor for those two days at the shop." Beginning in January 2010, Candice will be into her 4th year of racing her Monster Mutt® Dalmatian truck all over the world, racing in 9 different countries, and 14 different states! "It has been one of the greatest experiences I have had in my life, and there is still plenty of racing to come!!"
Be on the lookout for Candice and Monster Mutt Dalmatian roaring their way onto SPEED Channel and at Monster Jam events around the country!
