GOTHENBURG’s ULLEVI STADIUM SETS EUROPEAN MONSTER JAM ATTENDANCE RECORD

Untitled Document

Gothenburg, Sweden (June 13, 2007) Live Nation Motor Sports’s Europe division announced today the tour’s largest show to date in Europe, as over 49,300 fans packed into Sweden’s Ullevi Stadium for the biggest Monster Jam® event ever in Europe.

“This is an amazing start to what will be an amazing tour,” said Magnus Danielsson, Senior Director of European Events, Live Nations Motor Sports. “In our first ever show at Ullevi we set an attendance record for not only the largest show in Sweden but also what may be the largest show of the 2007 tour. The fans turned out for the pit party too, as over 15,000 enthusiastic fans got autographs and pictures with their favorite trucks and drivers.”

Jay Sietsma, EMA Promoter added “We’re thrilled Sweden has became the largest show on the European tour. Because of our success in Sweden, I’m excited to announce the action won’t stop with this show; to accomodate the capacity crowds we’ve added a second stop in Stockholm at the Globen Arena in November. Between these two events, we hope to entertain 90,000 Monster Jam enthusiasts in Sweden this year.”

Highlighting the impressive ten-truck line up was the spectacular Saturday night freestyle of the world’s most celebrated freestyle champion, Maximum Destruction. Tom Meents, who is becoming a global superstar, managed - for the first time ever - to complete the most amazing Monster Jam feat ever - a perfectly executed backflip in a four ton monster truck! Not only did he do a backward summersault down a 20 foot ramp after completing the entire 360 degree rotation, Meents landed the truck on all four tires and drove away!

”So unbelievable even I can’t believe it,” screamed the seven-time Monster Jam World Finals champion, Tom Meents. ”Gothenburg thank you for an incredible day and night. I can’t wait to see you all in Stockholm!”
