Aurora, Ill (July 30, 2008) –  On August 15th and 16th, the largest specialized motor sports touring event in the world returns to South Florida and the Bank Atlantic Center for a stop on the U.S. summer series, MONSTER JAM® SUMMER HEAT. 

The event will feature 10,000 pound, 1,500+ horsepower U.S. Hot Rod Association Monster Trucks in side-by-side racing, and the fan-favorite freestyle competition.  A HUGE line-up of highly recognized monster truck superstars will headline the show, including 4 World Champions.  Fans will see BAD NEWS, INSTIGATOR, 2004 World Champion EL TORO LOCO, 2007 World Champion CAPTAIN’S CURSE, 3-Time World Champion GRAVE DIGGER, and for the first time ever in South Florida 2-time and reigning World Champion BATMAN.  MONSTER JAM® SUMMER HEAT will also feature the high-flying motorcycle stunts of Freestyle Motocross, and the handlebar banging racing excitement of ATV Quad Wars.  This action-packed show will feature something for fans of all ages!

Fans can get an up-close look at all the racing vehicles, meet the drivers and get plenty of autographs at the popular “Party in the Pits”.  The Pit Party is from 11:30 AM – 12:30 PM on Saturday, August 16th.  FREE Pit Passes are available at all area Advance Auto Parts locations while supplies last, and fans must also have a ticket to the August 16th 2PM performance.  This is a great way to get behind the scenes, and avoid the last minute traffic and parking rush.
