Monster Jam® Breaks European Attendance Record in Holland

Meents in Maximum Destruction First Ever Pilot to Be Undefeated in the Netherlands

Stockholm, Sweden (October 1, 2008) – Feld Motor Sports today announced another record setting year in the Netherlands, packing nearly 51,000 fans into Arnhem’s Gelerdome Stadium for Monster Jam®, making it the largest show to date in the country’s four-year history of hosting the event.     

“This weekend’s Arnhem show was one of the most successful and well attended events of the year,” said Magnus Danielsson, Senior Director of European Events, Feld Motor Sports.  “In just four years, the Dutch fans have have made this event one of the most popular stops on the Monster Jam tour.  It is fan fare and support like this that will keep coming back to the Netherlands not only next year, but for many years to come.”

Monster Jam legend Tom Meents dominated the freestyle competition in the Maximum Destruction® truck, collecting all three titles and becoming the first-ever Monster Jam driver to be undefeated in Holland.    

“We’ve been wrenching all night so I could come out and win for you fans,” said Meents from the podium. “The trucks and drivers out here tonight are so talented; it’s like Las Vegas, so I am stoked to be walking away with the another championship today.”
