Pablo Huffaker debuted the new, state-of-the-art Grave Digger XVI and won the racing, while Tom Meents took the freestyle in the Team Meents truck with one of the greatest performances of his career, highlighting an incredible USHRA/TNN Monster Jam witnessed by a capacity, sold out crowd at Atlanta's Georgia Dome Saturday night.

Meents edged Huffaker in qualifying and was top seeded in the racing bracket. Both trucks rolled through to the finals, where they squared off for the racing win on the J-hook course. Completing the long straightaway the trucks were virtually even, but Meents spun off the course in the turn while Huffaker turned in another fast, smooth turn and road the new truck to victory.

In freestyle "Stormin" Norman Miller in Blacksmith and Jim Koehler in Avenger recorded 27 point scores from the judges to knock Jeff Patterson and Little Tiger from the top spot heading into the big two. Digger was scheduled to go next but battery problems prevented the 1950 Chevy panel van from starting, so Meents hit the track and brought the 65,000 plus person crowd to its feet, launching the futuristic SUV all over the dome floor. Even running into the wall protection with 12 seconds left didn't stop him. Meents refired the truck and finished the full 90 seconds, earning a score of 29 for the win. Digger was then able to fire but could only make half the run before the truck lost power again.

Rick Armbrust in Rancho Ford beat Jeff Dedick in the General Lee to take the Pro Stadium Truck win.
