Weekend Race Recap
Friday - 8:00PM -
The Monster Jam Rocked Beaumont tonight. The awesome crowd saw three different events for the Monsters tonight. Two different winners. Monster Truck Wheelies, Racing, and Freestyle.
The first event of the night was Monster Truck Wheelie Contest. Who could stand their Monsters straight up and down and carry the front wheels over the cars. One truck at a time. The scores were really close and very fair. The highest score of 27, with the best wheelie was Lee O'Donnell in Monster Mutt.
The crowd was ready for the Monster Truck Racing. Round One was Monster Mutt getting a bye run, King Krunch defeated his teamate El Matador, and Batman defeated Destroyer. Round Two was even better. El Matador, Darin Basl, came back as fast looser and defeated Monster Mutt, Batman defeated King Krunch. The finals were set. El Matador against Batman. They were dead even off of the Advance Auto Parts starting line. The narrow win would go to Jason Childress in Batman.
The final event of the night would be the crowd favorite Monster Truck Freestyle. All of the scores were again very close and all in the 20's. Air-Man Dan Evans in Destroyer came out second and actually went up and over the FMX landing ramp. When he came down he blew his right rear but would take the lead with a score of 26. That score was good until the last truck. Jason Childress in Batman went big tonight. He wanted Beaumont to witness the new Batman truck in action. Near the end of the run Batman went huge over the Freestyle Landing Ramp and launched across the Ford Arena. The crowd went balistic. The win with a score of 28 would be Batman.
Saturday - 8:00PM -
The sold out crowd at the Ford Arena witnessed an Awesome Monster Jam tonight. The crowd was going completely bananas for each of the three events. They got to see Monster Truck Wheelie Contest, Monster Truck Racing, and the crowd favorite Monster Truck Freestyle.
The first event of the night was the Wheelie Contest. One at a time to see if the Monsters could stand their trucks on their tailgates. The scores were pretty low for how good the drivers were doing. The high score would only be a 24 but it looked like a 30 to me. Airman Dan Evans in Destroyer took his truck completely Vertical and would walk away with the win.
Quickly we went into Monster Truck Racing action. The brackets were set. The first round would go like this: Batman would get a bye run, Destroyer defeated King Krunch, and El Matador defeated Monster Mutt. The semi-finals would get really close. Batman defeated King Krunch (fast looser) and El Matador, Darin Basl, would narrowly defeat Destroyer. A rematch from last night in the racing final. Lane choice would go to Batman. Jason Childress picked the left lane. The race was really close again tonight. Batman would get the launch and never look back. Batman was the race winner.
The final event of the night was the best. Monster Truck Freestyle. All of the scores were really close again. The track crew brought out a car pyramid for the trucks to destroy. The first truck, El Matador would finish with a 20. Destroyer finished with a 24. The third truck would go big. David Smith in King Krunch would hit the FMX landing ramp and catch huge air. He would finish with a 28. Lee O'Donnell in Monster Mutt would get a 25 from the judges. The last truck would FLY over the landing jump. Batman would get the highest score of the night with a 29. Batman the winner of Freestyle.

Another great crowd today witnessed another awesome Monster Jam. The stands were almost full again today. The crowd was treated to three different events for the Monster Trucks.
The first event was the Monster Truck Wheelie Contest. Which truck would do the best wheelstand today? Monster Mutt would come out today and you could tell he was on a mission to win. Lee O'Donnell would stand the Mutt on his tail and drag it across the cars. The crowd and judges were totally pleased. Monster Mutt would win the Wheelie Contest with a score of 28.
Up next we had side by side Monster Truck Racing. The brackets were set and the event moved straight into round one. Batman would get a bye run and move on to round two, King Krunch, David Smith would face his teamate El Matador and take a close victory, and Monster Mutt still fired up would defeat Destroyer. The semi-finals were next. Batman, Jason Childress, defeated Destroyer, and Monster Mutt would defeat King Krunch. The final round was set. Monster Mutt against Batman. The narrow win would go to Monster Mutt by a tongue across the Ford Finish Line.
The final event of the weekend would be crowd favorite Monster Truck Freestyle. King Krunch would set the bar high with a score of 23. Up third was Monster Mutt who had the best save of the weekend over the car pyramid. This busted his steering line and would be out but would take over the lead with a score of 25. The last truck of the weekend would be Jason Childress in Batman. Batman proved again that Monster Trucks can FLY! Batman would go crazy as the crowd was going wild. The Freestyle win would go to Batman.
