Weekend Race Recap
Saturday - 7:30PM
It was a “Giant” of an evening Saturday as Diehl Wilson and Anger Management took home three of the four events at the Thunder Nationals Event at the Times Union Center in Albany, New York. Diehl, and the 2006 Ford from Winchester, Virginia captured the Advanced Auto Parts Thunder Nationals Doughnut competition, Freestyle and finally the racing competition defeating another veteran of the Thunder National circuit…Rick Raab and American Guardian.
The Evening started off with the Wheelie competition…an exciting finish with Scott Poirier and Rick Raab tied with 19 and it took not one…not two…but THREE cheeroffs to determine Rick Raab the winner.
There were wonderful surprises including “Bad Boy” Billy Coe from Farmington, New Jersey who jumped 4 Monsters with the Suzuki ATV Leap of Faith this along with the BMX riders pulling off countless backflips…it was an incredible evening. Don’t Miss the action Sunday Afternoon at the Times Union Center.

The huge crowd went home hoarse from the screaming and jacked from all the action at the Thunder Nationals Event at the Times Union Center in Albany, New York. Scott Porrier in Anger management got some sick air and walked over the cars and the competition in the wheelie event. His score of 29 defeated his teammate Rick Raab in American Guardian along with three time winner from Saturday night Diehl Wilson, this set up a great rivalry for the afternoon.
The Monster racing event was a repeat of the previous night with Virginia Giant vs. American Guardian except this time with a different ending as Rick Raab edged Diehl Wilson by a tire.
Thunder National Monster doughnut competition came down to a cheer-off between two veterans as Virginia Giant and American Guardian had perfect 30 scored. The crowd at the Albany Times Union Center picked Diehl Wilson as the winner. “Hot Rod’’ the clown, “Bad Boy” Billy Coe from Farmington, New Jersey who jumped 4 Monsters with the Suzuki ATV Leap of Faith this along with the BMX riders pulling off countless backflips…made for an incredible weekend at the Times Union Center in Albany.
