Grave Digger vs Taz ...Grave Digger
Iron warrior was first out and was trying to get a feel for this tight course. He used all the obstacles but had some momentum problems and was able to post a score of 17. Rolling Thunder was on fire from the green light and was able to get some great doughnuts in at the end of his run. He was shut down at the point he was really close to the side wall. He would take lead with a 22. Devastator started his run with a power wheelie and tried to wow the crowd with Big stand up wheelies at the crush cars he would snatch the lead from Rolling Thunder with a 24.Black Stallion came out and used the clock for all it was worth, scoring huge with our judges with a 27. The Rookie of the Year 2007 Damon Brashaw saw an opportunity to express himself with a reverse hit on the van stack, doughnuts, and high speed attacking of the course. He would be hard to beat with a 29. Donkey Kong would fall a little short on the chance he had to beat Air Force he would end up with a 27. Taz who has had a great few weekends in the past had to be working off of a lot of confidence. He would have time to pull two sets of doughnuts and some huge air. He would score a perfect score of 30 and set himself up for a possible win. Last out, not who you want to have behind you. Charlie Pauken in Grave Digger. He was after the afternoon title and had a great run. He had all the elements of a winning run but the judges saw it in the form of Taz giving Grave Digger a 29 just one point short of a victory. Till tonight!

Iron Warrior was first out but after a test he could not restart on the line so he would end up a DNS. Rolling Thunder was able to get the ball rolling with a few big hits and ended on his massive doughnut display. He would score a 23 for that. Devastator Came out and was big this weekend so far on trying to get a power wheelie out of the gate. He said it was because the track was dry and it would not let the tires grip to get the truck to stand up. When he hit the first stack he broke a drive shaft and was still able to score a 16. Black Stallion came out and put together a solid run which would tie him for the lead with a 23. Air Force Afterburner came out and he owned the 60 second clock with a run that had a little bit of everything, wheelie hits he had doughnuts and even a hit off the FMX lander he scored a 24 and popped into the lead. Donkey Kong was running off of confidence having a race win under his belt and ripped the course to shreds. Frank was the new leader at a 28. Taz saw what Frank had done in Donkey Kong so he knew he was going to have to do something special. He ended his run with a few hits off the back side of the FMX lander. Now let me explain the backside it was built at an 80 degree angle and had three cars stair stepped up the back. Adam hit the cars and Taz was up into a 90 degree angle in a split second, it bounced up and down on the rear tires and he went at it again. The second hit almost sent him on his roof going over backwards. He would take the lead. Taz was the first truck all weekend to hit the backside and the news of this hit the pits fast. Charlie Pauken driving Grave Digger knew right then what he would have to do. After some of the longest air we had ever seen in a stadium show he was setting up for the backside of the lander. The hit threw Grave Digger straight up and he was going to back up and hit it harder. The second hit took the truck from an 80 to 90 to 100 degrees. He was on his way over but the skills of Charlie, I don’t know if you can teach this instinct was to stomp on the gas. Then what seemed to be impossible happened, the rear tires spun and the torque on the motor along with the spin of the tires brought him back from the point of no return and saved the roll over. It was the best save I have ever witnessed. The score came down and it was a 29 which I would have found a way to give him 40 points out a possible 30. See you tomorrow and I will give you the low down to the show down.

The scores were coming down fast for our first truck out. Iron Warrior would receive an 18. Rolling Thunder had a typical run with the big hits but the grand finally was a 15 rotation doughnut! Talk about a crowd pleaser the judges gave a 26. Devastator was off the pace and would land in a try with Iron Warrior at 18. Black Stallion had some big air and even went for the lander jump but was shut down after he landed and could not re-fire. That 30 second run scored him at 23. Donkey Kong had two big hits off the lander and a well mixed run would put him in the lead at 27. Air Force who received an invite to the Monster Jam World Finals 08’ nailed the run and ever blew the shell apart when he landed putting him in a tie for the lead. Taz was able to get back in the game from the hard work from his amazing pit crew and he wanted to impress Chicago. He did. Scoring a 26 putting in a tie for second with Rolling Thunder. Grave Digger was the last man that could knock off Donkey Kong from taking a win. Charlie was made for freestyle he even came with an extra 30 seconds (not judged) after his run. The score would land him in a three way tie in second with Rolling Thunder and Taz. We had to go to the 4th hidden judge for the tie breaker...Air Force would take the last win in Chicago.
