The snow was stacking up outside the Prairie Capitol Center here in Springfield ILL. But that didn't stop the Monster Jam fans as they packed the house to full capacity at all three shows and went crazy as Black Stallion, Iron Warrior, Full Boar, Bad Habit, and Scarlett Bandit gave them the Monster action they wanted! The Monster wheelie competition was a battle all weekend and started with Black Stallion (Mike Vaters) and Iron Warrior (Trey Myers) standing the Monsters on end almost dragging the tailgates across the crush cars! Amazing! Taking the Win was Black Stallion! Mike Vaters was showing all the drivers why he's nicknamed “The Godfather of Thunder Nationals” and swept all the wheelie competitions all three days! In Monster Jam Racing a rivalry was brewing between Scarlett Bandit (Dawn Creten) and Black Stallion (Mike Vaters)! All the Monsters were fighting for a spot in the finals and the racing was neck and neck! The theme of the weekend seemed to be Black Stallion and Scarlett Bandit going head to head in all 3 racing finals! Scarlett Bandit put up a fight for the win but, Black Stallion seemed to just edge her out by a fraction every round taking the win and sweeping the Racing all 3 mains! The Monster Jam Donuts Competition heated up the Prairie Capitol Center and left the crowd wanting more from the Monsters. Friday night saw Scarlett Bandit and Black Stallion having a tie score of 30! Taking the win was Scarlett Bandit by the judge’s decision! Black Stallion cranked it up and wheels were flying as he took the win in the next two rounds in donuts! Friday nights Freestyle competition got hot quick as the Scarlett Bandit came out and cranked it up so much that she ended up laying the monster on it's side and taking the win over the guys! Saturday's Freestyle saw Black Stallion and Scarlett Bandit destroying the course, each trying to take the win! When the dust settled it was Scarlett Bandit taking the win by the judges decision! Black Stallion wasn't going to be out done and completely destroyed the freestyle course with every variation possible in freestyle! Even jumping the van stack forward, backwards, and sideways for the win in the final freestyle round!!
