Weekend Race Recap
FRIDAY:
By Joe Lowe
The first of two nights of Monster Jam action saw incredible action and excitement from the superstars of the sport. In a town that loves their sports teams, the fans proved monster trucks were right up there with the rest.
The night began with Marc McDonald driving Safe Auto to a win in the Wheelie Contest. Next came racing. The action was fast and furious with a few surprises as we worked our way thru the brackets leading to and race final. Monster Jam's winner for the evening was again Safe Auto with Marc McDonald smiling and telling the fans how he is working to gain a spot in the Monster Jam NGK Spark Plugs World Finals in Las Vegas. Every round of racing is important as is the fans commitment to the truck. " My teammate Superman is already going and I want to be there too. I must keep on winning", Marc told the fans.
Monster Jam featured three of the best FMX riders in the business. J-Rob (Robertson), Tim Boca, and Garry Robertson brought their A-game with not one but two spectacular displays of their ability.
Monster Jam Freestyle proved to be good for some and not so good for others. Freedom Force broke half way thru the first stack of cars earning a very low score of 6 from the judges. The gremlins also rode with Lionel Easler driving Instigator. He had power problems during the first car stack jump, got the big truck started again only to get hung on the Advance Auto car/van stack.
Things finally got better and the 1-800-Safe Auto Freestyle Competition saw strong showings from Martial Law, Safe Auto, Superman, and winner War Wagon.
Andy Hoffman won over Monster Jam fans with his high flying action including a reverse jump over the car/van stack bringing fans to their feet.

BY: Joe Lowe
They are still cheering in Cincy. A sell out crowd came to the US Bank Center to see what Monster Jam was all about. They found out and loved what they saw. Great action, noise and excitement and Marc McDonald being one step closer to the Monster Jam NGK Spark Plug World Finals in Las Vegas March 29th.
McDonald drove the Safe Auto Minimize to a clean sweep winning the Wheelie Competition, Racing, and Freestyle Saturday night. Team Mate and closest competitor Superman kept coming up as second fiddle frustrating driver Chad Fortune who rolled Superman during his freestyle. "It just wasn't my night", said Fortune.
Problems continued to plague Jim Hochstetter and his Freedom Force Monster truck. Lionel Easler driving Instigator also experienced some problems thru the night.
War Wagon driven by Andy Hoffman again gave the fans his car/van reverse jump but judges were NOT impressed enough to give his a winning score.
When all was said and done it was all Safe Auto and fans loved it.
The superstars of FMX showed Monster Jam fans why they are one of the fastest growing spectator sports in the country. Tim Boca, Joe Robertson and Garry Robertson again brought Monster Jam fans to their feet to cheer on the two wheeled gladiators.
