      A near sold out crowd was on hand for another amazing Monster Jam at the Salinas Sports Complex. The weather was great with a slight breeze and sunny 78 degree weather and 10 of the worlds best Monster Trucks. The event started off with the Salinas valley Ford dealers Photo moment as all ten trucks did a sky wheelie for the great fans and then it was time for racing.

      All ten trucks drew for qualifying positions during the drivers meeting and Max D. was the fastest qualifier with a 23.91 second run. That would be all that was needed as no one could knock off the seven time World Finals Champion not even Grave Digger.
Max D. made it the the finals by defeating Grave Digger in round one, El Matador in round two and Turtle in the semi finals were he would face King Krunch. David Smith also was dialed into the large track as he made it to the finals by beating Obsession in round one, The Patriot in round two and Bulldozer in the semi finals. In the finals the race was tight through the first three turns but Max D. stayed in the throttle on his last turn and took home the win by a truck length setting him up for a possible double down trophy.

      Freestyle was awesome as the fans saw a lot of destruction of cars, vans, and Monster Trucks. Max D. was the favorite along with Grave Digger but at the end of Max D. 90 seconds Meents got some of the sickest air and broke the front of the truck for the high score of 29. Grave Digger was second with a solid performance and a score of 27 giving Maximum Destruction the Double down trophy.

      In other action the Monster Jam fans saw Team California take home the trophy in Quad war action by defeating team Nevada in the best two out of three races. Pro Arena trucks were also on hand for some side to side racing with seven of the best trucks in California.
