Jay Snyder’s first monster truck was actually a hearse. That’s a true story. However, while the 1955 Cadillac vehicle he and his team (with his brother, Matt, and friend Dave Wapel) converted into a full-fledged monster truck was a striking monster, it was a bit too heavy for racing competition. So they searched for a new truck, and wound up buying a more recent body and chassis that was made specifically for racing, and Screamin Demon was born.
After getting some help with the suspension and motor from veterans Guy Wood and Mike Vaters, the truck was finally ready for competition. The Ford F250 Super Duty features a black paint job with classic red and orange flames rushing up the sides and hood, giving it that awesome “hot rod” look – and maybe an extra boost off the starting line to boot!
