TRUCK
HISTORY
One of the more extreme customized bodies in Monster Jam® today, the Batman™ monster truck closely resembles a Batmobile straight out of the TV or movies. With the triple jet engines sticking out the back, its sleek black color, and huge wings standing high in the air, you get the illusion of movement even when the monster is standing still. That impression is all the more appropriate considering the monster truck has captured two World Final racing titles in a row – in 2007 and 2008. However, those two title victories may never have been earned without one of Monster Jam’s most respected veterans behind the wheel.
John Seasock has been around Monster Jam for years. It all began back in the 80’s, when he took in a show at the old Philadelphia Spectrum. After becoming quickly hooked, he drove for a few different teams before buying his own monster truck, Sudden Impact, in 1990. He raced Sudden Impact for nearly 15 years, until he bounced around in monster trucks like Inferno, and El Toro Loco®, before landing in the Batman™ monster truck driver seat. It didn’t take him long to get comfortable, as his back-to-back championships prove!
