Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo and Monster Jam are Most Requested Family and Sporting Events, Respectively
WEST HOLLYWOOD, CA – April 9, 2007 – Wicked, the Broadway musical and theatrical tour,continued to hold the #1 ranking position asthe nation’s top “Most Requested Event” according to Ticketmaster, the world’s leading ticketing company. Following closely behind on the chart ranked by online page views, information requests, and ticket sales during the first quarter of 2007 were The Police, Kenny Chesney, and the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, the world's largest livestock exhibition and rodeo.
The Police and Kenny Chesney were the top “Most Requested Concerts” followed by Justin Timberlake and Jimmy Buffett ranking at #3 and #4 respectively. Wicked also continued as the #1 “Most Requested Arts and Theatre Event” followed by Jersey Boys and Andre Rieu. Monster Jam and New York Yankees were Ticketmaster’s “Most Requested Sporting Events.” And Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, Disney On Ice, Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus and Sesame Street Live were America’s “Most Requested Family Attractions.”
"Fans across the country enjoyed a wide variety of great events in the first three months of 2007," said Ticketmaster President, Sean Moriarty. “And as summer approaches, fans are really enjoying the added benefit of complimentary music that Ticketmaster and Apple are partnering to provide on Ticketmaster.com with the purchase of all summer concert tickets.”
