Preparations are Underway for Monsters on Mainstreet 2007!

AURORA, Ill. – (April 13, 2007) Monster Jam® and Ford Trucks are proud to announce planning is under way for the 2 nd annual Monsters on Mainstreet sweepstakes that Bruce Heavner, of Crete, IL won as the season long promotion culminated at the 2007 Monster Jam® World Finals at Las Vegas’ Sam Boyd Stadium Saturday, March 24. Monsters on Mainstreet is brought to you by Ford Trucks and Monster Jam.

Monsters on Mainstreet, which was created in 2006, is a collaboration between Monster Jam and Ford Trucks where one lucky grand prize winner is awarded their own Monster Jam show in their hometown to take place this summer. Heavner will have the opportunity to invite 1000 of his closest friends and family to join him in experiencing this once in a lifetime opportunity in his hometown. In addition local charities, community organizations and Ford partners will be given complimentary tickets to attend the free show.

With over 19,000 registrants from www.MonstersOnMainstreeet.com, Heavner was one of five winning finalists flown to Las Vegas on an expenses paid VIP trip along with three guests to take in the Monster Jam World Finals. In company with the other four finalists: Donna Bivens from Humboldt, Tenn., Brad Bell from Whiting, Kan., Robert DeGroat from Hillsdale, N.J., and Samantha Getzinger from Grayslake, Ill., Heavner randomly selected a key to start a brand new 2008 Ford F-450 Super Duty. Luckily for him, the engine from the Super Duty turned over with his winning key, and he drove off with the grand prize of hosting his own hometown Monster Jam in Crete Illinios this summer, which will truly be the experience of a lifetime.

“I am the kind of guy who never wins anything, but I guess I can’t say that anymore,” said Heavner. “When my phone rang just a few short weeks ago, and I was told that I was a First Prize winner, I couldn’t believe that I’d won something as cool as a trip to the Monster Jam World Finals in Las Vegas . It was an exciting weekend but I expected the excitement to die down once my key failed to start the truck. Then, I picked my key randomly out of a hat and everything changed. I was #4 to try and start the truck, and I looked at the key as I was waiting my turn. It had a little dirt on it, like it had been used already, and I started wondering if it might be the right key. As the first, second, and third finalists tried to start the truck (and didn’t) I saw my chances getting better and better. So then I get in the truck, put the key in, and of all things – the truck started! There are lights everywhere, my family is out on the field taking pictures, and I’m just trying to grasp the fact that I actually won. Looking back at the pictures, it seems that my smile is going split my face in two. I can’t thank Ford enough for sending my family to Las Vegas , and for coming to Crete , IL this summer. The Monster Jam folks are awesome, and it will be amazing to have those big trucks rumbling down main street. This is one time where what happens in Vegas, doesn’t stay in Vegas. It’s coming to my hometown!”

On March 25 th, Heavner and his family were invited to attend the private Monster Jam Banquet held at the Joint inside the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas . But that’s not all; this summer on a specific Saturday that is still to be determined, Bruce will actually host a complete Monster Jam event including a Built Ford Tough Party in the Pits, Racing competition and Freestyle competition in his hometown at a venue that is also to be determined. Not a ticket will be sold and the town of Crete , IL will never be the same.
