MONSTER JAM VIDEO GAME NATIONAL CHAMPION REFLECTS
By Jordan Rager

Untitled Document
After winning a trip to Las Vegas in January at the Atlanta Monster Jam, all my friends were like "dude thats awesome!"  Everyone in my family got up Friday morning at about 5:00am to leave for Las Vegas  We arrived in at about 11:30 and went straight from the airport to the Double Down Pit Party.  It was crazy how big the Double Down was because I, up until that point, had only been to the pit party at the Georgia Dome.

The show started Friday night with qualifing and it was great, but I knew the best part was still to come Saturday!  We all woke up Saturday and headed to Sam Boyd Stadium around noon.  We got every driver's autograph except Tom Meents's and Dennis Anderson's.  During the pit party, something really awesome happened!  When I was at the Atlanta show in January, Dan Evans and the Destroyer truck was part of the field and when I stepped up to get his autograph and he recongized me and my family!  It was pretty cool!

Later during the party, I was called up to the stage to compete in my bracket for the video game contest.  I ended up winning and after I was congratulated by the annoucers and the other dudes playing me, I ran over to Dan Evan's autograph line and told him that I had just won!  He got excited for me and told me he would be rooting for me in the "big show!"

So the time comes when its time to play for the championship, we hadn't even walked backstage yet and my heart was pounding!  I prayed that God would help me find favor in him and I guess I'm either really lucky or really good because I ended up winning the whole thing (I hope this doesn't sound like bragging because I don't want it sound like that)!  After I was interviewed by Monster Jam on SPEED tv, I was taken backstage where I happened to run into Dennis Anderson!  We talked about how I won and how I was rooting for him!

After that, I was taken up to the pressbox and was interviewed by the announcer Doug.   When he was done, I was taken back to my seat where everyone was congratulating me on a job well done!

The racing and freestyle shows were absolutely amazing!  I loved every bit of that weekend and I definatley won't forget it!  Thank God for letting me get the opportunety to go (because it will probably be my last) and have the time of my life!  ROCK ON DIGGER!!!!
